Hi, I’m Justin
I might be considered a technology generalist. I used to be an IT professional, but now I manage the operational side of a software development shop. I also dabble in website design, consulting, and aerial photography and videography.

Examples of Work
Website portfolio

The Seltzery
Responsive design for a startup seltzery with large images that promote the product and put the brand presentation at the forefront. I work closely with the their in-house team to ensure the website reflects the brand strategy from top to bottom.

Central Valley Brewfest
Fully-responsive, mobile-first design with large attention-grabbing top section. The site provides a single point of contact for ticket sales and event information.

Cornerstone Christian Preschool
Responsive website with vibrant colors provides general information about the preschool, marketing, and central hub for parent information. The home page automatically displays recent reviews from Google and Facebook and the gallery page pulls recent photos from the preschool’s Facebook page, keeping content updated automatically and feeling fresh.

Vacation Rental Property
This custom website allows the property owner to market and book their vacation rental without platforms like Airbnb. This site features detailed amenity listings, photos, and a live availability calendar. If needed, I can upgrade a site like this to automate the booking and payments process.

Custom link (URL) Shortener
Custom short link service with a public or private front-end. This was set up to help a local non-profit send text messages with links to web-based content. Using short links from public services (e.g. bit.ly) are more likely to cause mass texts to be blocked. A custom service with your own short domain name is a solution to this and provides a branded touch to your messages.

Soles for Kids 209
This photo-centric responsive website serves as a general information hub for this local non-profit group. The website also features a built-in donation system that can process donations using PayPal or a number of popular card processing providers and securely stores benefactor data for reporting, tax, and marketing purposes.

Finishline Construction
This website features the work and contact information of a licensed contractor specializing in home remodels and outdoor upgrades. When it comes to this type of work, seeing is believing, so this website prominently features photos of previous work.

Ramos Investments
This simple single-page directory provides a central listing for all the firm’s commercial properties and contact information for leasing inquires.

Consulting
My attention to detail and ability to build work processes in a way that efficiently supports organizational goals means I can produce measurable results for your business.
Selected Consulting Projects
Attendee check-in process at the Central Valley Brewfest
The Brewfest is an annual beer festival attracting thousands every year and the check-in process for event attendees is a key touch point as it’s the customer’s first impression for the event and is the security check-point. The event’s rapid growth led to some growing pains, namely that the check-in process was slow, prone to error, and attendees expectations were mismanaged. I worked with the event’s producer to design and implement a well-defined, streamlined, secure process that improved customer satisfaction, nearly eliminated wait times, and eliminated several failure points in the ticket-type (e.g. over 21) validation process.
